Former Spartan is Going to the NFL

Paramus's Zach Chibane is expected to play for the Buffalo Bills.

Paramus's Zach Chibane is headed to the NFL.

Chibane, a guard for the Syracuse University Orangemen, will now play for the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent, as per the university's website. In Buffalo, he will reunite with his former head coach Doug Marrone from Syracuse.

Before his football career took off in Syracuse, Chibane had a successful high school football career at Paramus High School. He was named to the New Jersey Football Coaches Association Super 100 All-State Team. He earned first team All-Bergen County honors in 2008, as well as third team in 2007.

Chibane was named to the all-league squad in his junior and senior year when the Spartans won back-to-back North 1 Group III League championships. In 2007, Chibane played on the first Paramus team to win a playoff game in school history. He was a captain his senior year. As a defensive lineman, Chibane recorded 110 career tackles.
