Local Teen Musicians Organize 'A Concert for John'

Local musicians are taking to the stage this Sunday in memory of a Paramus Catholic High School student whose life tragically ended last month.

The John E. O'Donnell benefit concert is set for Sunday, March 24 at the Blue Room, 201 Secaucus Road, Secaucus, beginning at 6 p.m.

O'Donnell, 17, passed away on Feb. 5. He was a Hasbrouck Heights resident and a student at Paramus Catholic High School. He was a former graduate of Corpus Christi School in Hasbrouck Heights.

A collection of John's former classmates put this evening of music together to celebrate his memory and to come to the financial aid of his grieving family.

Efforts were led by former Corpus Christi grammar school student, Rachel Miller, a singer/songwriter who will perform on Sunday, with help from Paramus Catholic High School's Jessica Kenny of the Hasbrouck Heights-based band Doomsday Diaries.  Renne Vito of the band Halo Halo, also a former Corpus Christi grammar school student, also helped organize the concert.

Sunday's concert will feature performances by Rachel Miller, Doomsday Diaries, Halo Halo, The Cleopatra Club, which is comprised of members of Paramus Catholic High School, and BSV.
