Alleged Hookers Busted by Paramus Cops
Undercover investigations led to the arrest of a 20-year-old Montreal woman and a 23-year-old Florida woman, both of whom police say were soliciting sex at Paramus hotels.
A pair of women police say had advertised sexual services online were arrested days apart in the borough, according to Paramus Police.
Detectives, who said they regularly screen websites to find advertisements for prostitution activity at area hotels and motels, arrested Gabrielle Poissant, 20, of Montreal, Canada, and Jaqulynn Vaughn, 23, of Tampa, Fla.
According to Lt. John Scully, Poissant was arrested Monday following an undercover investigation and charged with engaging in prostitution and marijuana possession. She was released pending a court appearance.
Vaughn was arrested last Thursday, also on charges of engaging in prostitution.
Both Vaughn and Poissant had advertised services online leading police to a Paramus hotel or hotels, according to Scully.
Police refused to reveal the names of the businesses out of which the women were operating, police said.
