Cops: Two Women Arrested For Shopping With Fake Credit Cards

Two women are arrested for allegedly attempting to use fraudulent credit cards and take stolen merchandise at the Westfield Garden State Plaza mall this weekend.

A New York and New Jersey woman allegedly teamed up this weekend up to use fraudulent credit cards and steal merchandise from the Lord and Taylor department store at the Westfield Garden State Plaza. 

Authorities were patrolling the Westfield Garden State Plaza mall on Saturday at approximately 6:00pm when they were informed of two females allegedly using fraudulent credit cards at Lord & Taylor.

Lord & Taylor’s security informed Paramus Police that the two suspects were then seen getting into a grey Honda Accord. Security was able to obtain the New Jersey license plate number, police said.

After searching the mall parking lot, Paramus police officers Keith Bland and Robert Brack located the vehicle in the North Parking garage and stopped the vehicle.

They recovered numerous fraudulent credit cards and stolen merchandise valuing over $4,000. Both suspects were arrested and identified as 33-year-old Rachel Herman from New York, NY, and 30-year-old Natasha Jean from Bayonne.

The suspects were charged with use of fraudulent credit card, possession of fraudulent credit card, identity theft, and possession of stolen property.  

Bail was set at $25,000 for Herman and Jean. They were both remanded to the Bergen County Jail.
