A Pair of Music Legends to Grace the Stage at Bergen Community College

There are a pair of special performances.

Bergen Community College faculty and students will take the stage alongside Peter Yarrow and Cissy Houston for a pair of performances at the Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre later this month.

Yarrow is a singer best know as part of the folk music group Peter, Paul and Mary and he co-wrote one of their most popular songs Puff, the Magic Dragon. 

Houston has a pair of Grammy awards to her credit and has worked as a backup singer for Aretha Franklin and Elvis Presley.

Here is a schedule of the upcoming events at the Anna Maria Ciccone Theater: 

  • Thursday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. – “Duet: The Power of Two” – A productin packed with musical mash-ups ranging from classical to acoustic Kanye West. Tickets are $12 with discounts to senior citizens, Bergen C.C. faculty and students. 
  • Friday, Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. – “Curtain’s Up!” – Peter Yarrow – Tickets are $35
  • Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. – “Curtain’s Up!” – Cissy Houston – Tickets are $35

Noel Coward’s comedy Blithe Spirit is a ghost story about a novelist with two wives – one alive and one dead. This student-produced rendition of the London-premiered classic, runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday between Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturdday, Nov. 2 at7 p.m.  Additional matinee performances will take place on Oct. 26 and Nov. 2 at 2 p.m.
