Paramus Library to Close for Repairs

The Paramus Public Library will be temporarily closing for repairs. Groups and meetings are suspended but most of their collection and services will still be available at the Reid Branch Library.

The Paramus Public Library is closing on Wednesday to complete major repairs to the roof and bathrooms. The library will reopen Oct. 4. 

As posted on the library's website, library services will be offered at the Charles E. Reid Branch Library located on 239 West Midland Ave. The Reid Branch Library will also be extending its business hours as follows:

  • Monday-Thursday – 9:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Friday – 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Saturday – 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Sunday – 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

The Reid Branch Library is a smaller building that will provide limited parking, public computers and seating.

A portion of the main library’s collection will be available at the Reid Branch Library. If you need a book that’s still over at the main library, you can request them ahead of time at the following numbers:

  • Circulation – 201-599-1302
  • Adult Services – 201-599-1305
  • Youth Services – 201-599-1309

Returns can still be made at the main library’s outdoor book returns, which will be emptied regularly by library staff.
