Snowfall, Winter Storm Warning to Continue Through Day, Night

Paramus DPW crews will have their hands full for the next 18 hours. Snow is expected to continue through the night.

Snow began falling in Paramus on Tuesday morning and it is not expected to stop until Wednesday morning. The National Weather Services issued a winter storm warning and it will remain in effect through 6 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Services, New Milford residents should expect:

  • Snow accumulations of 6 – 10 inches.
  • Winds of 10 – 20 mph with gusts up to 30.
  • Wind chills as low as 10 below zero.
  • Temperatures in the tees dropping into single digits tonight. 

The Paramus DPW requests that roads only be used if needed and that folks avoid any unnecessary trips. Crews expect to be working through the evening and into Wednesday morning.
