Urgent Appeal for Type O Neg. Donors Issued by Paramus Blood Bank
Community Blood Services currently has less than a one-day supply.
Community Blood Services is reaching out to eligible Type O negative blood, platelets and plasma.
“There is less than a one-day supply of these lifesaving products,” said Karren Ferriday, Director of Community Affairs at CBS. “We urgently need all eligible Type O negative blood donors and platelet donors to come out so we can continue to meet the needs of patients in our community hospitals.”
Ferriday explained that because of the holidays, vacations and Winter Storm Hercules, which cancelled blood drives and impacted donor turnout, have caused the supply to dip.
