Having sold over 500 million copies of books, guilty-pleasure author and British native Jackie Collins will sign copies of her latest book "The Power Trip" on Wednesday evening at the Rt. 17 Barnes and Noble. Although the racy fiction writer has been sidelined with laryngitis, Collins will promote her 29th book with a reading and book signing while splitting time working on several other projects.
Collins called "The Power Trip" a "sexy, sun-drenched thriller" according to a report in the NY Post.
Her latest tale follows five jet-setting couples on a Russian billionaire’s yacht who bear remarkable similarities to real celebs and are put to the test when the yacht is boarded by Somali pirates.
Along with promoting "The Power Trip", Collins is currently penning her autobiography, her next novel, "Confessions of a Wild Child," and a play, "Jackie Collins' Hollywood Lies", according to a report on northjersey.com.
The younger sister of actress Joan Collins, the 75-year-old author has been deemed the "First Lady of Racy Fiction" by Hello Magazine for her erotic fiction. She has also been called a “raunchy moralist” by the late director Louis Malle and “Hollywood’s own Marcel Proust” by Vanity Fair magazine.
Entrance to the event is free with purchase of a copy of "The Power Trip" which runs approximately $27.99.
Barnes and Noble is located at 765 Rt. 17 South, Paramus.
