Microsoft is set to open a new store in Bergen County, and star rap duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are going to help welcome the new store with a performance Thursday.

According to a release from Microsoft, the grand opening celebration at the Garden State Plaza store in Paramus kicks off at 10:30 a.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Panos Panay, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft Surface.

As part of the ceremony, Panay will present $1 million in software grants to local community organizations, including Children’s Aid and Family Services, The Arc of Bergen and Passaic Counties, and the Bergen Family Center, the release said.

The store is set to open at 11 a.m. Customers who arrive early can win giveaways and free tickets to see Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

Gates for the free concert open at 5 p.m.

The Garden State Plaza location is Microsoft’s third in NJ and 93rd in North America.
