Paramus Town Center Owner Sues Former Tenant

Faber Bros. Inc. of Paramus, which owns the Paramus Town Center, is suing a former tenant over a broken lease agreement, according to a NorthJersey.com report.

The suit, filed in Bergen County Superior Court, claims that XSRE has failed to make payments to get out of a 10-year lease and owes its landlord $1.3 million in back rent and fees associated with breaking the lease, the news site reports.

XSRE, a womens accessory and clothing store chain opened its doors at the Route 17 North mall in 2011 and closed its doors this past February.

According to its website, XSRE has six other stores, all on the East Coast including upstate New York, Connecticut and Maryland. With the closing of the Paramus store only one New Jersey location remains in Woodbridge.

The NorthJersey.com report states XSRE had filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in December 2012 as it could not afford the $$58,185 monthly rent at the Paramus location.
