Bergen County and other local residents flocked to the Garden State Plaza in Paramus this week to check out a new tech store, and a free show from one of the biggest acts in hip hop.

Microsoft opened its third New Jersey retail location at the Garden State Plaza Thursday, and rap duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis held a free concert to help welcome the store to Bergen County.

During a Ribbon Cutting ceremony, Microsoft execs also announced $1 million in donations the company made to local charity organizations.

Check out photos of the event above. The images captured are some of the top photos from around the county this week.

why the hell is this in the Oakland Patch. Many readers and I come on here to find local unique articles that won't be on other news. I don't come on here to read a boring poorly written article on Macklemore opening a store on the east coast. Please stop the crap!

"Readers" such as yourself know how to identify poorly written articles but can't figure out that Oakland Patch is for Oakland in NJ. West coast genius.
