Boy Thrown From NY Building Was Living in Fair Lawn

Kirill Kanarikov, 3, was killed when his father threw them both from a Manhattan high-rise Sunday.

A 3-year-old boy who was killed when his own father threw him off a Manhattan high-rise was living in Fair Lawn before his death, The New York Times reported.

Kirill Kanarikov was the center of a custody battle between his parents, Dmitriy and Svetlana, according to the report. The boy was living with his mother and other family in Fair Lawn after the couple separated, where he was also enrolled at the Bright Start Educational Center.

Dmitriy Kanarikov was reportedly granted his first unsupervised visit in months Sunday, when he threw himself and the boy off a roof-top deck, killing them both. Police did not find any suicide note, according to the report.
