Lodi Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Teen in Car Behind Route 17 Business

A Lodi man has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside her car behind a Route 17 business in Paramus earlier this month, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said.

Akram G. Tadros, 39, was charged with sexual assault, criminal sexual contact and criminal restraint.

According to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, a 19-year-old woman reported to Paramus police on Tuesday that Tadros, an "acquaintance" of hers,  forced her into sexual activity in her vehicle on Jan. 2.

Paramus police informed the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, which launched an investigation under the direction of Chief Steven Cucciniello.

Tadros was remanded to Bergen County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail with no 10 percent option. He is not allowed to have contact with the vicytim and he must surrender his passport, the prosecutor's office said.

Tadros will be arraigned on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
