Donovan Reelection Fundraiser Draws Gov. Christie, $65K

Bergen County Executive Kathleen Donovan is seeking a second term, running against Democratic Freeholder James Tedesco.

About 200 people, including Gov. Chris Christie, attended a campaign event supporting Bergen County Executive Kathleen Donovan’s reelection Monday, NorthJersey.com reported.

According to the report, the fundraiser, held at the Stony Hill Inn in Hackensack, was expected to raise about $65,000 toward Donovan’s campaign. The Republican is running against Democratic Freeholder James Tedesco of Paramus for a four-year term as County Exec.

Donovan’s fundraiser attracted just one protestor outside the inn, Ramapo College senior and political science major Louis Di Paolo, the report said. DiPaolo told NorthJersey.com he was there protesting Christie’s recent comments in support of unlimited campaign financing.
