Honeywell and NASA brought their FMA Live! Forces in Motion, an award winning show to West Brook Middle School on Oct. 9.
“The award-winning, action-packed show ... uses hip-hop music and dance, larger-than-life demonstrations and audience participation to engage middle school students to learn the principals of basic physics,” NASA and Honeywell said in a release.
According to the U.S. Department of Education's National Assessment of Educational Progress, almost 70 percent of U.S. schoolchildren are rated "less than proficient" in math and science.
Students from East Brook and West Brook were involved in interactive scientific demonstrations to teach them about Newton’s Laws of Motion and Gravity.
