Local Athletes Compete in First-Ever Paramus Triathlon

Click through our photo gallery of the first-ever Paramus Triathlon which drew more than 150 athletes from all over Bergen County and other parts of the state to compete in this endurance event which consisted of a 300 meter swim, 14 mile bike ride and 3.1 mile run.

The event was organized by Maven Sports and served as a benefit for the Paramus Education Foundation which works to provide educational needs to Paramus students. The event was supported by various local sponsors.

Team Bonk of Glen Rock came in as the top finisher followed by Henry Hoyle of Edgewater and Tim Woods of Demarest. Some of Paramus' very own were among the top finishers - Cerone Bores Paolazz finished in 13th place overall and 9th as the top Male Masters Finishers and Karen Matesic came in 6th among the top Female Masters Finishers and in 50th place overall.
