Recent Paramus Grads Steal Victory from Vets in Alumni Hockey Game

What's more frustrating than being beaten by a bunch of young puck heads? Nothing. But when you make an epic 5-goal comeback in the final period, you've got plenty to be proud of.

The Paramus High School Parents Association organized a PHS alumni hockey game that was played on Friday, Dec. 27 at Ice House in Hackensack.

Players going back to the mid 1990’s were in attendance to compete against each other. Recent PHS graduates, from the years 2008-12, edged out a victory over the elder graduates, from the mid 90’s through 2007, by a final score of 7-6.

The old-timers, who aren’t really that old, were trailing, 6-1, in the third period and scored 5 unanswered goals to tie the game with less than a minute to remaining.  The pesky youngsters slotted one home with just a few ticks left on the clock and stole the victory that they had seemed to let slip away.
