The boys' event came down to the last event. Down by four points, Paramus needed to take first and at least third place in the 400-meter freestyle relay.

The group of Eric Kim, Harold Choo, Ryan Stallone, and Ted Matalon took first place, and Teaneck took second.  The score was tied, and whichever team finished in third place would win the meet.  The relay team of Victor Kim, Shyam Lad, Frank Crincoli, and Alex Muller sealed the victory in a race that saw Muller overtake the final Teaneck swimmer to win the meet for the boys.
